And we’re off!

Off to my first blog post… and I feel completely baffled by what I should write. I intend for this to be more of a private affair, as in not sharing it on Facebook or what have you, because I am slightly embarrassed. Who am I to think that I am even remotely creative enough to blog about things people would actually want to read about?? Regardless, I am writing this blog as a means of checking off one more thing on my day zero list.

So for those of you who are unfamiliar with the day zero list, let me explain. It is a list of 101 things to do in 1001 days (roughly 2.74 years). I started this bucket list of sorts my senior year in college… and it technically should have been completed around September of last year. It’s better late than never!! So far, I have checked off 85/101.. only 16 to go! But of course I didn’t just stop at 101. Because I am me, and a huge list fanatic, I just kept on writing more things down. Some are fun little outings like “go to a drive-in movie,” where as others are more time intensive, like “run a half marathon.” I have truly enjoyed this idea of making your bucket list not a list of things to do before you die, but a list of things to do NOW. It highlights the essence of one of my favorite quotes:

Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.”   John Lennon

So, to kick off my first blog post, I’m going to make a tribute to my past day zero check-offs!

Well I think that concludes day 1 of Jenn trying to figure out a new blog site. Hopefully my first post was tolerable. Enjoy this bright and beautiful day!!
