Channel Islands National Park is located just off the coast of Ventura, California. It is a series of islands protected for the variety of species each boasts. We sat awhile on the beach watching surfers and scanning the horizon for the islands. Unfortunately due to COVID, the only boat service wasn’t operating so we couldn’t make it out to the islands themselves. We still had a nice picnic on the beach and enjoyed our time.
We spent an afternoon on the coast in Pacific Grove, just outside of Monterey. We strolled along the beach and found a local market to pick up a few picnic essentials: ciabatta, strawberries, olives, and cheese. Whitney even made a cooler set up in a bag of ice for a bottle of rosé. We spent hours reminiscing on our past travels until we were both a little sunburned.
You DO have so many travels to reminisce about!!
